See Your Future Now
As we start the New Year in listing the goals we hope to accomplish for the year, we are often very excited and enthusiastic in building our dreams, holding the vision of our desired results. What happens next is that we forget these goals and we fall back into our habitual ways of thinking and doing. Or for those of us who are not really clear what our dream is, we allow ourselves to go down a course that leads nowhere.
It is very important to take the time to think from our heart when we are beginning to set goals. A few days before the year 2007 ended, I made a list of my goals and turned them over to God in prayer and asked God to give me back the specific goals I should focus on achieving for the new year 2008. Then, I can be assured that what I will pursue will be aligned to God's dream, God's highest Vision through me.
What is a DREAM?
Webster’s dictionary defines a dream as something hoped for, usually something difficult to attain or far removed from present circumstances; an idea of hope that is unlikely ever to be realized.
The dream is a path to the future, a quiet belief in the heart, a small secret wish nurtured deep in the spirit, where all great accomplishments start.
“A dream in Endless Horizon that only the dreamer can see, a dream is a challenge to all that you are, a promise of all you can be.”
These quotes from Hallmark birthday cards resonate so much within me because I now live all the dreams I have been inspired to dream in the past, the realization of which were so much more than I imagine. The process of reaching and living my dreams was a spiritual journey of discovery, Inner growth, Awakening and expansion in awareness. I now have a vision of even bigger and grander dreams, with great expectations and confidence that they are now coming true.
What is VISION?
A vision is defined as an image or Concept in the imagination, a mental picture, a foresight.
“Vision gives you the impulse to make the picture your own.”
Robert Collier
Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but.
When you have a clear vision of your dream and why you want to accomplish and realize it, nothing can stop you. if at first, your vision is blurred, don't be discouraged. Sometimes it takes awhile for us to get the inspiration coming to us. Being receptive and open while in prayer and meditation, allows her insights to surface in a sharper image.
What is a GOAL?
A goal is a target, ambition, aspiration, purpose, but the definition from the book “Creating Your Own Destiny” by Patrick snow, best describes it for me:
“A goal is to Progressive realization of a dream in a given time frame.”
Become aware of what inspires you, what you naturally feel passionate about. what holds a special draw to you will be effortless to pursue. take the time to discover Your Divine Purpose and align your goals accordingly, then the goals become much easier to do Earl Nightingale said that, “People with goals succeed because they know what they are doing.”
Alfred A. Montapert tells us:
“To accomplish great things we must first dream, then visualize, then plan, believe and act.”
With a better understanding of what dreams, vision, and goals are, go to your heart and ask in reflection, what is your dream, what is your vision and what are the goals you are willing to commit your focus, time and energy? take time to connect with God within you, be open and allow divine guidance to reveal the answers to you.
When you get an inspired vision of what God wants to express through you, your part is to cooperate by acting in faith knowing that with God all things are possible. one with God, you have the divine power to make your dreams happen, tO break through limiting beliefs and old paradigms that no longer support your new vision of good. With discipline and commitment to taking the steps in the direction of your dream, you co-create your reality with God.
